Today's Tao

When you pacify a big grudge, there is always a remaining grudge. (Ch.79)


When someone does you harm, what do you think?

"A grudge? Of course, not. I am a perfect Taoist. How can I possibly hold a grudge?"

Well, if it is the case, fine. No problem.

But if you hold a grudge, do you have to feel guilty about it?

No. Of course, not.

It is not ideal to hold a big grudge.

You may try to "pacify" it.

But if you cannot get rid of it completely, don't worry.

Just be content with the "remaining grudge".

That's what Lao Tzu is teaching us here.

Feelings do not belong to us.

Whether it is a grudge or something else, our feelings are part of the hologram, which is waiting to be accepted.
