Tao Te Ching Chapter 68-6 Aikido & Tariki / Other people's power

Today's Tao

This is called the use of other people's power. (Ch.68)

Use other people's power by lowering yourself without competing.

Two points.

1.

This is the idea of Aikido.

Don't compete.

Synchronize the energy.

Use the opponent's power.

2.

When you look at this from the Buddhists' point of view, this is Tariki / Other-power.

You are not in charge of your own salvation, but Amida Butsu / Amitābha Buddha will take care of it.

This Tariki / Other-power is a useful tool.

Thanks to the presence of Amida, who is the mighty force outside you, you can reduce your resistance.
