Tao Te Ching Chapter 50-7 No one-horned water buffalo

Today's Tao

No one-horned water buffalo finds a place to pitch its horn at. (Ch.50)

A: "Master Bonbon, I am scared something bad is gonna happen to me. Please help me."

B: "You are my best client. Donate all of your money, and you will be protected."

A: "But I have no money, Master Bonbon. Instead of paying money, I will meditate. Will I be saved?"

B: "Get out of here if you have no money."

No one in your hologram will be able to hurt you.

The world, which is your hologram, exists to stimulate you, not to hurt you.

You don't have to pay money or meditate.

You are always safe.

Tao answers your question!

☞Have you ever heard of "the frog in the well"? It often suggests "a person who doesn't know anything about the outside world". However, if you read the context where Chuang Tzu used it originally, you can see that it is not exactly the same as we interpret it. It is a beautiful metaphor of a hologram projected in our mind screen. You can find the expression in Chapter 17 / Autumn Water of the Outer Chapters. Not in the Inner Chapters, which are widely available.
